Not at all, you can keep your UV running if you want.  Many suppliers of UV claim their systems can run with only 0.5ppm of chlorine but you've probably found now that is generally not the case, esepcuially if you have a busy pool.  The benefit of ChlorDown is that you really will be able to run at a much lower level of chlorine that you are using now even with your UV system.
